With the participation of more than 20 students of 15 nationalities, the Universidad de los Andes Law School inaugurated the Law Schools Global League 2024 Summer School, an academic event that, in its 12th version, brings together students from 18 different universities to discuss law and inequality.
The Uniandes Law School Dean, Eleonora Lozano, welcomed the participants to this event and highlighted the importance of diversity and cultural exchange for the study of law. She expressed her enthusiasm for offering an international space where students can learn not only about law, but also about how law interacts with critical issues such as climate change, taxation, social movements and socio-economic diversity.
“We are delighted to offer spaces like this, where students not only have the opportunity to learn more about law, but also to do so in an international context, with students and professors from different countries. We have planned everything to make their experience unforgettable this year, which we are hosting for the first time,” said the Dean.
Likewise, the participants, most of whom are visiting Colombia for the first time, also expressed their interest in enjoying, in addition to the academic spaces and the exchange with outstanding professors, the local culture, gastronomy and tourist sites, among other options included in the Summer School, held for the first time in our country.
In this way, Uniandes Law School continues to demonstrate its commitment to international education and the exploration of crucial issues such as inequality, offering students a platform for collaborative learning and cultural exchange.
The Global League Law Schools Summer School, comprised of more than 30 universities worldwide, is an annual experience that offers students a cutting-edge learning opportunity to explore the challenges of the legal profession in an increasingly globalised world.
