Course Description
This course explores professionalism in legal practice through a critical and experiential lens, focusing on the role of ethics, values, and justice in shaping lawyers’ professional identities and decision-making. It equips students with practical tools to navigate ethical dilemmas, engage with clients in a socially responsive manner, and develop sound professional judgment in complex and evolving legal environments.

What will you learn?
You will develop the ability to critically reflect on your own concept of justice, values, and professional identity, while learning to identify and navigate ethical and values-based conflicts in legal practice. The course will also strengthen your skills in client communication, professional judgment, and ethical decision-making, including the responsible use of generative AI and the ability to respond to complex, real-world legal scenarios.
What is the methodology?
The course is delivered through an interactive, workshop-based methodology grounded in experiential learning and problem-solving. Through simulations, role-playing, collaborative exercises, and reflective activities, students will engage in real-life scenarios, develop practical legal skills, and participate in capstone exercises that integrate ethical analysis, client interaction, and professional decision-making.
